Monday Morning Update: Watch last night's Subterranean here + bonus videos picked by the Go! Team.

We've got new videos coming from Charlotte Gainsbourg, El-P, Marnie Stern and that fan video you've seen floating around from the Go! Team.

Go! Team

The kids in the Go! Team also picked our online bonus videos this week, including hits from Le Tigre, JSBX, Cibo Matto, CSS - let's just say it's a dance music explosion.

Tune in - Monday morning (or Sunday night) MTV2, 1AM EST.

The gentlemen of the Cold War Kids like designing things, like their graphics, posters, underwear...what, we read it on Idolator or something. Pinky swear.

They have very kindly sent us some clips they shot, edited and decorated. We were very impressed with their nouvelle vague/indie film aesthetic and thought we'd pay it forward.

If you've always wondered what it would be like to be a left of center rock band touring Europe for the first time in the 1960s, take a look at the footage below.

If you're sick of reading about Human Giant constantly on Pitchfork, then feel free to read even more about it here.

The Human Giant site on MTV.com has lots of clips and since they own our ass, we're going to steal, er, "share" their content.

Watch the show trailer below and we'll post other preview clips from H to the G all next week in anticipation of the show's premiere on Thursday April 5 (at 10:30PM EST on MTV, natch, but check your local listings).

We also put in our request to get video pick lists from the guys....so will they do it? Will they not? We assume so, but if not someone's got a swift kick to the groin coming.

By popular request from those looking for them, here are a couple more of the Klaxons promos.

On their first crap U.S. shows:

Asking the Benihana chef to be their drummer:

Person PitchCall us sleepy, we're begging for it, but it's gotta be said: that new Panda Bear record (Person Pitch) is right up there with vanillaroma car freshener and getting a baby cat. It just feels really, REALLY good. Particularly "Bros," which has been turning bloggy eyes googly (ours included, o_O) and lips runny with Pet Sounds comparisons. Rightfully so? Only time will tell... And while we don't QUITE have that "Bros" video queued up for you yet, we do have this sweet cut by Panda Bear's actual bros, Animal Collective (of which he is a proud, turtle-costume-wearing member). Here it is: "GRASS!"

Regarding our earlier post about Kings of Leon's new look...

We know what happened to all the hair they used to sport: it was donated as the result of a hair transplant makeover to the supporting members of Maroon 5!

See with your own eyes in a video compare and contrast.

Our new guilty pleasure video/song from M5, now with extra hair:

VS. The new Kings of Leon look:

Eerie, isn't it?

What's the best group you've ever heard of from Miami? KC and the Sunshine Band? Gloria Estefan? Trick Daddy?

We've got all those beat: meet the Postmarks.

You might remember a time, a little more than a year ago, when there were tons and tons of animated videos on Subterranean. We actually got complaints for playing too many animated videos - but we couldn't help it! There was a whole flood of them, starting with that amazing Aberfeldy "Love Is An Arrow" Eskimo video. We don't anticipate the flood gates opening again, but we love this adorable animated video from the Postmarks.

Give it an eyeball or two - they were produced by Andy Chase, who also worked with Ivy, Brookville & Tahiti 80, who enhances their almost French pop style. Wow, we wrote that and then read down further on the press release where they describe their own sound as having "nods to French pop and Brian Wilson's orchestral arrangements". It's good to be right.

We feel we just have to post that Aberfeldy video for you, in case you missed it.

This video is a gem that isn't often unearthed in the U.S. The Fall doing a cover of the Kinks "Victoria" from their 1988 album The Frenz Experiment.

One cursory listen should: remind you of how much P.i.L.'s "Rise" was really a Kinks song in wolf's clothing; make it apparent that singer/mastermind Mark E. Smith should have been born in Victorian times since the clothes are so much more flattering to him; and clearly explain why RZA once said he learned the "beauty of chaos" from the Fall.

Since the song topic is so utterly British, it only makes sense that the band would use the play on words to set it in Victorian times and celebrate pride in country while completely denegrating it.

If you haven't picked up the newest Dean & Britta album, Back Numbers, we suggest you run out (or select "next day" on your Amazon order form) and get it immediately.

When we're not listening to our watermarks from the White Stripes, Hot Hot Heat, or Feist it's all about Dean & Britta.

Feast your eyes on their video for "Words You Used to Say" - probably coming to an episode of Subterranean near you soon.

(If it isn't immediately obvious to you - Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips, formerly of Luna and the former also of Galaxie 500. Amazing second album of duets, in the vein of Gainsbourg and Birkin. A must have.)

Finally, our girls Tegan & Sara have announced details of their new album! It will be called The Con, has been co-produced by Chris Walla in his studio in Portland (make sure you click that link - you won't be sorry), and you can pick up your own copy on July 24.

You might not know, but Hunter Burgan of AFI and Matt Sharp both played bass on the album, while Death Cab's Jason McGerr supplied drums. We doubt this super group will be doing tour support, but a Burgan/Sharp bass-off would be pretty hilarious.

The press release we ganked all this info from informs us that they'll be playing a series of intimate shows before hitting a full blown tour...and those shows start right now. Watch them perform for just you on your computer - here's a little ditty the girls like to call "Walking With A Ghost".
