We recommend you use it to go see Hot Club de Paris from Liverpool. That’s right, the Beatles hometown. They’ve got a very Arctic Monkeys/We Are Scientists (if they were actually British and not just more beloved there) thing going on. Two of the guys, Paul and Matthew, met while serving drinks at a racetrack and realized they were musical soulmates. Even though they were already in other bands, they got together with Matthew’s little brother and formed Hot Club de Paris. It’s almost like a romantic comedy.
At any rate, the guys are on Moshi Moshi Records and claim an aversion to songs written in 4/4. And they say they briefly considered naming their album Howdy Dickhead, Later Sluts. What’s not to like?
