Washington DC. Played at what should be a miniature sports arena, called
“Constitutional Hall”. Complete with star-spangled carpets and State
named assigned seating. “No sir,…your seat is in Wyoming - way up
there where no one can see you.” Gorgeous. Took a few Q&As from the
crowd as it seemed appropriate in such a collegiate and civil
atmosphere. Another well labeled evening, and I’m always amazed at how
easy it is to find your way around the catacomb-like performance halls.

All in all a well rounded night. The rockets red glare and all that…

Tonight was Philly. A feel of delphia. Before the show, the club went
out and got homeless people to work as their house sound crew. I say
this only because of their constant quest to shove food in their
cake-holes during “go-time”. They probably weren’t sure when they’d eat
again. They also saw fit to smear feces in their ears (so whatever they
heard that sounded “good” was really shit), and then….apparently -
must have turned all the knobs and faders upside down and backwards, so
that up was down, on was off. You know,…sorta like a bizarro-rock
club. And from where I stood that was it. Good was bad & bad was good. I
came very close to a fist-fight on stage with a “tech” who ran out and
unplugged all my shit during our 1st song. Afterwards his “assistant”
showed me their highly advanced power routing system, and assured me any
problems were my own. Silly me. I should have expected to get shocked so
bad a little pee came out, huh?

Tomorrow is NYC. Anita is doing the Conan O’Brian show with The Shins
and we’re meeting up to do Madison Square Gardens. Touche!
See you soon - Kevin / Viva Voce
