So here’s prediction for a trend to watch in ‘07. And no it’s not pretending that you were joking when you said that you snorted a parent.
Call it ‘heartbreak house’, ‘emo-disco’ , or whatever you want. Just know that crying on the dancefloor is going to be bigger than running over papparazzi, starting your own label, or having a prominent role in an assault trial.
Exhibit A: the new video for “It’s All True” from Tracey Thorn’s solo album Out of the Woods. If this doesn’t get you all teary and make you wanna shake it you have no soul.
