New Crowded House Album?

UPDATE: A press release went around late yesterday announcing that this record will be released by ATO on July 10 in the U.S. The Subterranean excitement meter hit the roof.

NME reports (we know, total oxymoron) that a new Crowded House album, including a song written by Johnny Marr, is due in July.

Here’s the mystery: we checked in with EMI US and they say the album is not listed on any release schedules. So, who is putting out this alleged Crowded House album - in either the UK or the US? Will it even remotely come out in this US or is this some sort of New Zealand only release? Thanks for nothing, NME.
