Every since Bright Eyes Death Cab for Cutie Weezer came out and won over the hipsters and emo kids alike, there’s been this odd cross over between the scenes. One side (er, probably the side Subterranean falls on) tends to be rather particular about who they let cross over into their world while the other side embraces anything with sad sack lyrics.
We wanted to show you As Tall As Lions “Love, Love, Love (Love, Love)”. They are one of those bands who are outsiders in both worlds. Too AP for Pitchfork but too Euro-hipster to be in Hot Topic. We only recently sat down and really watched this video - and we loved the song. Will we be playing it on Subterranean? Not too sure, I mean…they are from Long Island, which just screams emo. Would love to hear your thoughts, Sub-heads.
