We love you L.A. but sometimes we don't "get" you. Case in point: Kennedy. This guy has (allegedly) played with Fiona Apple, Jon Brion, Tenacious D, Diamond Nights, Juliana Hatfield and toured with Bloc Party and Elefant in London.
All of that kind of seems made up when you see the video. Or just when you read the press release his label sent about him. It claims, among other things, that he was kicked out of the Silversun Pickups for setting the singer's sweater on fire. When we checked with the Silverlake branch of the Subterranean blog to try and sort out fact from fiction we got an email back that only said, "I saw Kennedy one morning at 8am on a Wednesday standing on Sunset wearing a cape."
Wow. Ok then. We give. Watch his video for "Your Mama". It's a visual, if not cerebral, experience.
