Your foolhearty Subterranean blogger will be live blogging 24 Hours of Human Giant on MTV. How are we staying up for 24 straight hours? We have no idea. In fact, we emailed the Klaxons to ask them for some tips and got an email back from them saying they’d never tried to stay up for 24 hours (and insinuating that we’re nuts). We think they were probably lying to us. If the Klaxons can’t even do it, what chance do we stand?
Anywho, we’ll be stationed right in the studio with our trusty Mac laptop. We’ve already talked to Tapes ‘N Tapes, Ted Leo + Pharmacists, Tegan & Sara and Morningwood about helping us keep the live blog interesting. Another band has been booked to play late, late at night but we can tell you about that until tomorrow. Most of those bands will be performing live during the 24 hours of weird live television on both MTV & MTV2 so make sure you tune in. We’ll try to give you the heads up about what’s coming up on this blog.
Tomorrow we’ll also give you the scoop on the tons and TONS of comedians and special guests who are planning to stop by.
The Human Giant guys are allowed to play whatever shows, videos, sketches or crap they find. We’ve had an advance look at their video list and…well, it’s not the stuff you normally see on MTV or MTV2. Not even by a long shot. In fact, a lot of the videos will be ones you recognize from Subterranean.
Trust us, you won’t want to miss a thing.
