As promised, we have some more information to share on who'll be dropping by the 24 hours of Human Giant stunt, kicking off at noon EST on Friday.
The guys have asked tons of their friends to stop by so you can expect to see Eugene Mirman, Todd Barry, Zach Galifianakis, Rob Riggle, Michael Showalter, Bob Odenkirk, several SNL cast members, and Corn-Mo.
For those of you who are into Kennedy? Corn-Mo totally tops that.
Added to the performers are The National and Albert Hammond, Jr.
We've been soliciting tips on how to stay awake from friends of our own and Kyle Fischer, of the late Rainer Maria and currently working on a non-Rainer full-length with former bandmate Caithlin DeMarrais, sent us these gems.
"When trying to stay awake, avoid your bed. For that matter, avoid being in a prone position for any reason. I once feel asleep on the floor in the middle of an all-night study session, reaching for a pen that had rolled under the couch."
More about the time Kyle went to jail after the jump.
"Stimulants are never a good idea. A swell of euphoria, a cresting wave of superhuman confidence, an ocean of paranoia and crankiness. And what do you call a superhero who's cranky and paranoid? A villain. Moving on.
The best way to insure wakefulness is extreme discomfort. Try getting arrested and spending a night in jail. I would recommend driving 85 in a 55 over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. That netted me 48 hours in Virginia Beach county jail. In my big shared cell, the only place for me to sit or lie down was on the floor next to the toilet. Staying awake was never so easy."
Virginia really is for lovers! Kyle also recently produced what he refers to as "an album of amplified banjo" from Brooklynite Andrew Vladeck that will be in stores...soon, we hope.
