Oh my goth… That’s exactly what we were thinking when we showed up at The Horrors show at Luna Lounge (Brooklyn, NY) last night, as we were pretty much the only people not wearing any black. We weren’t sure what to expect from these guys… We been on top of the hype but wondered if they could deliver the goods.

Well, guess what? Deliver they did. With dapper fans decked out in classy goth gear, perfectly applied makeup and well groomed hair, we weren’t sure we were in the right place at first. Could these classy cats really be that tough? The answer is yes. During the set, fans happily started a mosh pit. Lead singer Faris Rotter got down and dirty with the crowd several times throughout the show. He made a makeshift wooden ramp to dive off of, to boot.

“Spider” Webb definitely killed it on the organ. The way he was crouching over his keys made us feel like we were watching The Addams Family. And guitarist Joshua Third’s hair was so high that we imagined if they were to ever run into some bats, they’d surely get caught in it. Our favorite song they played? “Jack The Ripper” proved to make the crowd kick it like we never thought they could, and left us feeling eerily empty inside.
