We are so pleased to announce that this Sunday night we’ll be dedicating half of Subterranean to showing you sections the DVD live performance portion of The Knife’s Silent Shout Deluxe.

If you haven’t seen The Knife live, and most of America have not, this might seem a little strange to you when you start watching. Stick with us, it’s worth it.

Olof Dreijer, one half of the brother/sister team who are The Knife, explains the concept of the DVD best:

“I’m really happy with the DVD. First we filmed the show just because we wanted to see what we actually are doin and to be able to improve our show. It really felt strange that we didnt know how its actually looks, but the filming became so good that we decided to share it with the public. This filming is a free visual interpretation of our show. It’s edited in free way and visuals are added on top of our actual performance for the show to work in a home environment. Listening to it in a simple home surround sysetm is a really cool experience, the sounds go around and around and make you get a proper disordered balance!”

We’ll have the full DVD in the online version of our show that goes up on Monday - so hook your stereo speakers up and get yourself started with this sneak peek clip of “Pass This On” (it’s not a malfunction, the screen is black for about the first 45 seconds by design).
