The whole front row was entirely women. It’s gotta be his accent. He sang a cover of Rancid’s “Hoover Street,” told the audience that his feelings on American beer have done a 360 since he arrived in New York and dedicated a song to Nice+Smooth.

That last part made the one of us gasp, because we interviewed Jamie on Monday (more on that for you in August) and he made us put on his iPod to listen to a Nice + Smooth track. We insisted it was terrible and Jamie insisted we’d ruined the song for him. Was that a poke?
