Looking for your next Klaxons? Oxford band Foals might just be it.

These lads have a full length coming to US record stores soon that was produced by Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio. This "Hummer" track may or may not be on it, but it's giving us a Franz Ferdinand if they were more new rave vibe. With a dash of Vampire Weekend's tennis whites thrown in for good measure.

Gorillaz D-Sides hit stores two weeks ago in perhaps the quietest album campaign all year. I mean, it is a rarities and b-sides album so maybe they don't want you to buy it. We can only assume they do want you to watch the video for "Rock It" which is hella good.

MTV News dug into their practice space (which looks an awful lot like someone's family room that hasn't been redesigned since the 70s) to find out what else Vampire Weekend know.

BTW, did you catch a few seconds of "APunk" on Friday Night Lights last week?

Today's videos you forgot is for readers on the younger side, who may know the name Helium but aren't familiar with the band's sorted indie rock history. It breaks down like this.

The original Helium line-up, not actually called Helium but instead known as Chupa, was formed in 1992 by chanteuse Mary Lou Lord that included Juliana Hatfield's brother Jason, Brian Dunton and Shawn King Delvin. The band evloved, Mary Lou Lord left cos she didn't dig the direction (and now you can see her street busking at SXSW every year - it's a signature move that always shocks), Mary Timony joined as the new singer and the band became Helium with the departure of Hatfield. By the time the "Pat's Trick" video came out Dunton had also left Helium and been replaced by Timony's then boyfriend Ash Bowie. At some point circa 1993 they all signed to Matador Records and lived happily ever after.

At least until the band broke up and Mary Timony went solo.

That's entertainment.

Between Apple and Zune it's like indie rock time in commericalville. First you had the Feist iPod mini or whatever blowing up "1 2 3 4", then CSS's "Music Is My Hot, Hot Sex" making me want to touch a touch screen, The Shins making Zune's player actually look kind of cool and introducing us all to Rogue Wave (again, if you perhaps missed their last two albums).

So if you were sort of enjoying the commerical and kind of wondering who that band is then hit play.

The first thing we thought when we watched Panda Bear's video is that it's an even more lo-fi take on Sonic Youth's "100%" vid. The repetition of the music with repetition of shots over it creates a lulling effect.

Plus, the end has a twist. We hate when people tell us that, but it was a little unexpected.

Ever wonder what Lupe Fiasco would do for a Klondike bar? mtvU's Backstage Pass interview with him won't tell you that, but it will let you in on The Cool's mission statement. P.S. - don't forget that Lupe Fiasco can rap.

This week on MTV: M.I.A. tells you all her thoughts on Liberia, the U.S. government being haters, the back story of her family, why you should pay attention to the Sudan and about a million other things. All in 30 second promo spots. Can't say M.I.A. isn't effecient.

It's that time of year when the turkey's cold and the demand for top ten lists is hot.

So what's going in your top ten records/songs list for 2007? The Shins? Beirut? Animal Collective? Aesop Rock? Will you omit Lily Allen and the Klaxons for having UK releases in 2006 but US releases in 2007, or is that allowed? And who have you been voting for on the Subterranean Best of 2007 countdown?

One album that is quickly shooting to the top of our top ten albums for 2007 is St. Vincent. Do take a moment and enjoy her lovely video for "Jesus Saves, I Spend".

For their third video off Icky Thump, the Stripes got in the ring with video maven Diane Martel (responsible for such classics as ODB's "Brooklyn Zoo", Franz Ferdinand's "Do You Want To" and Clay Aiken's "Invisible" - yes, really) to put a bull to the test.

Watch the fight go down in ultra-vivid color.
