We’ve racked up quite a few Subterranean MySpace friend requests and so today we A&R them for your enjoyment. Ok, it’s really for our enjoyment.

Our rules today: we only listened to the most played song on their MySpace, read the “sounds like” & bio and the judged them based on their pictures.

The Sumner Brothers - British Columbia, Canada

Sumner Brothers

Most played song: “Both Back” - Makes us feel like we’re in a backwoods bar with sawdust on the floor and a cold one in hand.

Pictures: All lend that turn of the century air. Also of note, their top friends are Lou Reed, Nirvana, Neil Young and Chuck Berry. That really sums it up.

Bio: It told us that songs:illinois like them and we like that blog so…

Verdict: friend

More after the jump.

Sense of Scenery - Vancouver, BC, Canada

Sense of Scenery

Most played song: “Werewolves” - not bad at all but the vocals do remind us of Creed a little.

Pictures: Horrible album art harkens to Sid Vicious but comes off more Suicide Girls while band photos are not indicitive of there actually being a band.

Bio: The longest one we’ve ever attempted to read. It’s like a David Foster Wallace novel.

Verdict: not a friend.

Sisterlovers - somewhere in the UK

Sisterlovers

Most played song: “Have You Seen”- vocals are making us think Psychedelic Furs but the music is very 60s Donovan “Hurdy Gurdy Man” meets Brill Building pop.

Pictures: Mainly 60s images on their main page and the photo page makes them look like every 4AD band from the late 80s/early 90s.

Bio: Not much of one and it doesn’t make any sense, in a Warholian way.

Verdict: friend

The Action Set - Brooklyn, NY

The Action Set

Most played song: “The Arrest” - good power pop. We like that.

Pictures: So many pictures and fliers documenting their life as a band that it’s almost unbelievable.

Bio: They like the Comic Sans font and do not like New Jersey anymore.

Verdict: friend
