I Feel It All - 1

If you’re as mesmerized by the new Feist video for “I Feel It All” as we are then we do hope you’ll enjoy these behind the scenes photos from the set and a quick email Q&A with director Patrick Daughters.

Subterranean [SubT]: Where was the video shot?

Patrick Daughters [P.D.]: In Southeast Indiana, about an hour away from Cincinnati.

SubT: Did Leslie [Feist] choreograph her own dance moves?

P.D.: yes

SubT: Approximately how much money in fireworks did you have to spend?

P.D.: I don’t know.  We got a generous deal from the amazing Famous Rozzi Fireworks family.

SubT: What sort of lighting set up did you concoct to get both her and the fireworks? It looks like a lot of lighting cues as she runs from the foreground to the background and then holds a sparkler up.

P.D.: The entire program was designed for the most part to synchronize with the music.  We worked extensively with John and Joe Rozzi for a couple days planning it with software they regularly use to design fireworks programs.

SubT: Was the idea of fireworks one you’d wanted to do or was it specifically inspired by this song?

P.D.: Leslie thought of it, knowing that it would fit the song and that a good friend, Mary Rozzi, had a family connection to a group of generous fireworks experts.
