We’ve been hiding from the Vampire Weekend hype debate. However, today we ended up reading the Village Voice’s dualing blog reviews of the album and we’ve gotta say we really liked Mike Powell’s comparison of the Vampires to Walt Stillman (writer/director of “Metropolitan”, “Barcelona” and “The Last Days of Disco” - please see the first on DVD if you have no idea what we’re talking about).
We’ve often thought living on the Upper Upper West Side would make us feel like “Space Oddity”.
