A few Saturdays ago we rolled out of bed at the crack of noon and hauled ourselves out to Brooklyn to catch part of The Teenagers’ video shoot for “Love No”. You might (not) remember our post about the casting call for this video - basically they promised an afternoon of ice cream, roller skating and making out with strangers.
By the time we got there director Caroline London (who also helmed Tapes ‘N Tapes “Cowbell” video) was putting the extras through a grueling synchronized roller skate routine while The Teenagers walked nonchalantly through them and mugged for the camera in that infuriatingly arrogant French way. It was adorable - and only became more so when one of the cute extras would fall down or skate into a pole.

Within an hour the group had all gotten the skate routine down and were even able to stand on their own. Director London was so excited she immediately had the crew roll on them and got two perfect takes that you’ll have to see to believe.

We don’t want to give away too much about the video since the sight gags are what make it, so after the jump check out a few of the casting call responses from the lucky 10 hipster kids who made it into the video.
There’s Noah, who says, “I attached a face picture and a full body pic to turn dorian on.”

And Amanda who says, “this shoot sounds amazing, as i would LOVE a day of rolling skating, ice cream, and making out with good looking strangers. what better things are there to life? ha. plus, i love the teenagers’ music and i look forward to (hopefully!) being a part of something like this…i have included a picture of myself after one of the roller skating nights at studio b (i think this one was in october or something?) anyway, i’m the girl on the left of that picture.”

We talked to James on the set, who emailed in, “i’m young, hot and i love ice cream and making out, so perfect combination.” When we asked him how everyone’s skating skills had progressed as the day went on, he told us they hadn’t much.

And the adorable Salina (who wore a similar outfit to this one on the shoot) who wrote: “Ahoy!
I saw tha you’re looking for a couple girls (which I am one of) to be in your music video shot in Greenpoint. I am a tad over your 18-24 limit (I’m 25), but everyone tells me I look uber young. But you be the judge.”

What would you do to be in a music video?
