Tally Hall “Good Day”

We first heard of Tally Hall about three or four years ago when mtvU asked us to help judge their Best Music on Campus contest. They were by far and away the most original thing going in that batch of finalists and so we gave them high marks.

Now it looks like the guys have graduated from Ann Arbor’s finest and gotten themselves a record deal. Something about the aesthetic puts us in the mind of We Are Scientists or even Weezer - minus the angular guitars. Which is to say they sound almost nothing like those bands (except fundamentally) but have that same sort of…aura.
