MTV.com have posted a quick bio piece from the Mars Volta about who they are and how they came to be here with us (as much as those dudes could ever be considered with us) in a lovely three minute package. They know you’ve totally got better things to do.
Your dearest Subterranean blogger actually grew up in Texas also (H-town, no respect) and finds their take on the whole experience…well, fairly typical for anyone who had a brain and grew up there. We can’t verbalize how hard it is to leave though because, in spite of the rednecks and repressive world views, there is also some killer Tex Mex and an indescribable Texas experience that bonds us all together. It’s kind of like the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”. Canadians totally feel us on that one.
