Call to action people. You know how you’re all into the “backpack” hip hop and whatnot? MTV2 is running a Sucker Freestyles contest where you can get all involved and prove your skills.
Head to MTV2.com and download the instrumental of Atmosphere’s track “Shoulda Known”. Then put your own vocals down on it. They’re encouraging you to rap something but we say, hey if you wanna do like T-Pain and throw some vocoder on it go for it. If you wanna be like Joanna Newsome and just warble on top, go to it. We’ll keep tabs on how much you can freak out the people judging the entries and report back.
Meanwhile, MTV2 will debut the new Atmosphere video for “Shoulda Known” on Thursday and you know we’ll link you up so come on back.
