About a month ago your Subterranean blogger went to hear the new My Morning Jacket album Z Evil Urges (oopsie - ty for noticing SOR, we’d link to you if you’d commented! SRO and we’ll be sweet now that you registered on our site, you bastards.). We’re assuming “z” stands for ZOMG! because the album is very…well…for several portions of it we were like “zomg, wtf is going on here?” There were some old school MMJ jams, there was a song that kind of reminded us of the Postal Service, there was a straight up Prince jam, there was a disco song. There was confusion.
The thing about it is? All of it was really, really good and now we can’t wait to hear it again.
