Jimmy Tamborello has been up to so much lately - from remixing (as The Postal Service) a track for The Cribs to creating some Dntel ringtones (look under “audio” on the Dntel website) to remixing a track for the Tokyo Police Club album (out today!).
There’s also a new-ish Dntel video for “Rock My Boat” - on of the album’s sad, slow songs with vocals by L.A. musician Mia Doi Todd. You might recognize her vocals from all the other people she’s loaned them to: Beachwood Sparks, Frausdots, Folk Implosion, Saul Williams.
The video itself is a lovely animated piece - very lo-fi pencil on paper look to it with random 3D elements mixed in.
We’re recommending you watch it if today is spring-like wherever you are. We heard Seattle had snow recently though so you guys might want to find something more depressing.
