An open letter to Band of Horses:
Hi guys, how’s it going? We hope all is well with the touring and whatnot. So, we wanted to talk to you about this video for “No One’s Gonna Love You”. When we heard it was coming we were so excited. You see, that is our favorite song on your excellent album Cease To Begin. Normally it’s not easy for us to pick a favorite song but this one was a stand out, in our opinions, from the first listen.
Then we saw the video. It is easily the most disappointing music video of 2008.
Seriously dudes, where’d you find this Jarrod Tallman character who shot this crap? We can see where you’d read the treatment and think it was funny but not so much for this particular song. It actually might have been a good one for “Ode to LRC” but dudes we don’t care to see you demonstrate your hilarious senses of humor on a love song.
Way to totally let us down. We still adore this song though. Dammit.
