An Internet star is born? Most of us who have to work on FNMTV have been watching this kid Desmondh since the first epsiode of FNMTV because his video-video reviews are the sort of unintentionally hilarious thing that make the day go by faster. And those of us who are invested in the indie rock that goes on FNMTV find his take on things to be so alien and mainstream that it’s sort of fascinating, in a “wtf, really?” way.

We’re gonna embed his review of the She & Him video from this week for you here, you can watch his other reviews for No Age and Vampire Weekend on his MTV.com profile page.

At any rate it seems we’re not the only ones - No Age posted him on their blog which prompted Stereogum to look him up and post something.

What else hath FNMTV wroght on mainstream culture? Well remember when Vampire Weekend and Lil’ Wayne were on together? Lil’ Wayne liked the Vampire Weekend “Oxford Comma” video so much when he was forced to sit down, watch it and record his feedback for the MTV cameras that he decided to make his concept video for “A Mille” a one-shot video like theirs that continued from when he got off the tour bus at the end of his FNMTV performance.

Weird but true. Watch all three videos after the jump for a compare and contrast.
