In a ploy to make our show even more wildly popular than it is already we've put together a little podcast for you. It'll be coming in weekly installments and will probably change your life.

For our first go at it we invited the nice gentlemen of Tokyo Police Club up to Times Square for a chat. They were kind and even explained simple computer functions to us, such as how to record voice in QuickTime. It's funny because we're maladroit and cheap!

So please do enjoy our maiden podcast voyage - it also includes songs from Okkervil River, Tokyo Police Club (as remixed by Ra Ra Riot), The Dutchess and THE DUKE and Foals.

Please feel free to leave comments with your suggestions and thoughts!

Thursday night is the night and right now is another Jesus & Mary Chain teaser. If you've ever wondered how their band started, Jim Reid tells you now.

Easily the most awkward, CGIed up video clip we've seen today.

Seriously tho, why are these two people yelling at each other?

After a small snafu yesterday (apparently our friends at iFilm love Fleet Foxes too!) we are happy to bring you the for real premiere today, in conjunction with mtvU and MTV2 UK, of the newest Fleet Foxes video.

It is quite a departure from their first video for "White Winter Hymnal" - possibly the literal exact opposite - and kind of puts us in the mind of a '70s presentation of the Carter Family, but with more farm animals.

So, we love the Cool Kids. They're pretty much awesome, as retro chic goes. But have you heard of the Retro Kidz? Our friends at MTV Jams introduced us to them and they really take that whole retro thing seriously. Everything that was kind of scary about late 80s to early 90s hip hop is represented in their look.

If this were an art installation that remarked on the tragedies of fashion past we'd applaud. If it were a movie (a la "The Wackness") that attempted to time capsule a moment then we'd attend. As a musical movement, though, we're not sold. Never go full retro.

We told you this one was going to come quickly - and "Dancing Choose" hit the Internet just a little over a week after "Golden Age." Does this signify a new music video age for TV on the Radio? We sure hope so.

Hey guess what? We've got a whole other slew of JAMC performances from an entirely different episode of 120 Minutes to show you next week. This weekend we recommend you study "Come On."

Nick and Norah may have an infinite playlist but we could only get a few finite playlists from the bands involved in the movie. Luckily they're all pretty awesome.

First, get an eye full of the 'Nick & Norah'-fied video for Bishop Allen's "MIddle Management."

Then watch video playlists from:

It's a fine, fine Friday because we get to bring you the new Okkervil River video for "Lost Coastlines" - if you didn't see it on our TV show last night, that is.

It is directed by Seth & Bobby and is a fairly simple concept (that was apparently quite difficult to execute) where the band are represented via TV screens while stand ins serve as their body - a conscious play on the title of their new album, The Stand Ins.

For us the most interesting part is watching the hands of the stand in bodies - it's pretty great choreography with the expressions on the TV heads.

Video continues to premiere online and all day today on mtvU.

Hi ho cheerio - as per the usual, if you missed last night's show you can catch it all by watching Subterranean on MTV.com. This week we offer you our "songs that do offend us, yeah" bonus playlist. Offend may be too strong a word - it's more like videos we take issue with for various reasons.

In other good news, we've started up a podcast! We sat down and did a little interview with Tokyo Police Club yesterday and it'll be available early next week, as soon as our legal department finishes dotting some i's (we already crossed the t's for them). We are very excited.
