While watching Crystal Castles do you ever get the feeling that, even if they look clean, they just swam through a sewer to get to you and maybe rolled around on the ground and then jogged a mile? Maybe it’s just us but something about them always seems so dirty in this very appealing way.
So while the fall procession of vampires gets underway, Crystal Castles are on the trend with a video that’s part bizarre outsider narrative and part performance piece - and completely compelling.
The existence of this band almost makes us feel better about not being able to see Throbbing Gristle in their heyday.
