So check it: this week is Atmosphere and they actually did some really funny skits for their artist of the week treatment. Don’t fast forward thru them when you’re watching The Hills.
Or just see more on MTV.com if you can’t bear the thought.

Hey now, look who just got Pfork’s best new music! Are No Age having the best week ever? Or at least bringing some much needed credibility to L.A.?
Sub Pop sneaked us some photos from the set of their forthcoming video “Eraser”, which is directed by Andy Bruntel at The Director’s Bureau - you might remember his work on Rilo Kiley’s “It’s A Hit”, Bat For Lashes’“Priscilla” or the Mountain Goats’ “This Year”.
Our favorite shot was this one:

Still kicking yourself for missing last night’s Subterranean? Just want to see it all again? Watch the show, plus interview clips with Santogold, plus a bonus playlist of Art Videos for the Artistes on MTV.com. We’ll have more Santogold clips on the blog all this week.
Additionally, if you were into that live Muse clip you should know we took it from their live album/DVD that came out a few weeks ago. You can see a few more live clips if you’re need to be further swayed to go buy it.
Yeah, the L.A. band The Weather Underground are named after that Weather Underground. Their music doesn’t exactly bring the revolutionaries to mind, but it’s still pretty darn likable. The adorable Radio Free Silverlake have an IM interview with them where you can learn oh-so-much more.
This video was compiled using tour footage of the band and we’re kind of into the abstractness of it all.
We can already tell we’re going to have a slow and dreary Friday so how about another round of A&Ring the poor people who venture to send us MySpace friend requests? Let’s all gather ’round the fake fire and give a listen.

Sounds like: They are clearly way down with My Morning Jacket, “Car Wash Hair” era Mercury Rev and being different from the other kids in the LA singer-songwriter circle so they’re going more the smoke pot in the desert route.
Verdict: While it’s clear they’re still kids messing around and they really need a producer to give them some guidance, we see potential here. Friended.
As always, more after the jump.
